Samsung Galaxy X |
Samsung's foldable smartphone going to be the reality soon. According to sources, Samsung might unveil the so-called Galaxy X – a foldable phone – as early as November 7th at its upcoming Developer Conference.
However, there's no official announcement by Samsung but Samsung teased its foldable phone in a recent tweet telling people about when the Developer Conference will begin. And according to reports, the announcement about the company’s upcoming device might happen on the same day.
In the video posted by official Samsung twitter handler Samsung hinted towards the phone’s design by showing two lines that first open up to look something like an opened laptop, and then become a straight line after converging together. Now, we know what you’re thinking, but this is not the first time Samsung, or any other developer, has teased a product in such a subtle manner.
The crossroads between the present and the future – Samsung Developer Conference is where you’ll meet the knowledge needed to stay on tech’s cutting edge. #SDC18— Samsung Mobile (@SamsungMobile) October 18, 2018

Earlier Samsung's CEO Dj Koh already said that his company would launch a phone at the end of this year in November. Later, however, he clarified that the phone won’t actually get a market launch, but rather a smaller announcement where Samsung will give out some details on how Galaxy X (or whatever it gets called) actually works.
Whatever may be the case, we’re still excited to see it in action. Huawei is also working on its own foldable phone, the company officials have already confirmed it. If Samsung unveils the Galaxy X before Huawei next month, the Chinese giant might have to make a lot of changes and might need to make its launch happen earlier.
Whether or not the foldable phone lives up to expectations, we have no choice but to wait and see. A number of phone and display makers have attempted to build such a device but failed to make an actually practical device.
Keep in touch with Daddy's Tech we’ll update you as soon as we get more info about Samsung Galaxy X.
