Instagram working on a standalone shopping app


Instagram world's most social media photo sharing app owned by Facebook. Facebook owned many other platforms as well like Whatsapp world's no.1 messaging app. Instagram always working on new features for the platform and they are introducing many new features day by day. Recently Instagram introduced some new features such as Online indicator, Incognito mode, Video chat and AR filters, and the most recent is account verification all these features are very helpful for users.

Instagram also competing with YouTube by launching IGTV app. IGTV is a standalone vertical video sharing app where users can upload up to 10 minutes or 60 minutes  videos if you are verified personality or brand. IGTV is also integrated with Instagram app (Same like Periscope app as periscope owned by twitter and integrated with twitter where users can show their live streams directly from periscope to twitter )so users can easily browse videos.You don't need new signup on IGTV you can simply use your Instagram account on IGTV.

Now Instagram going to jump in the eCommerce industry by launching their own standalone shopping app.According to reported by The Verge, Instagram is working on a new standalone shopping app, with this app users can browse through goods and buy them directly. However according report it is not cleared when the app will be available.Instagram believes that the company well positioned to make a major expansion into e-commerce, the report said, citing sources.

After launching IGTV Instagram is in direct competition with YouTube and now Facebook wants to Instagram to compete with major eCommerce platforms such as Amazon, Ebay and Ali Baba. As we know Facebook always try to introduce new products so we may see this shopping app very soon.
