LG V40 Concept Image |
LG a Korean technology giant recently launched LG G7 ThinQ and now AndroidPolice has received some information about the LG V40. The successor to the V30 is to receive five cameras. Two cameras face forward and should be used for Face Unlock (and selfies). On the back of the LG V40 there will be three cameras.
It seems relatively certain that there will be the classic LG configuration with a standard and a wide-angle lens. But what is the third camera for? Clearly, a lens with telephoto function would be conceivable, but a sensor for better photos in the dark is also conceivable. AndroidPolice has not received any reliable details.
The design will be based on the LG G7 ThinQ. If we consider LG's statements on the subject of displays, the LG V40 should be equipped with an OLED panel. LG named display technology as the most important distinguishing feature between the G and V series. A Snapdragon 845 should also be taken for granted at this point in the year.
LG is planning something special with the camera
The V40's code name: Storm. A strong name, so LG should deliver a device to match. We know this thanks to reliable leaker Evan Blass, who also gave us some more gossip regarding the release of the brand's lineup this year:
LG V40 is codenamed Storm. pic.twitter.com/fNqLUdNzsP— Evan Blass (@evleaks) April 20, 2018
V35 ThinQ (Emma) is arriving around the same time as G7 ThinQ (Neo/Judy), while V40 ThinQ (Storm) is the late summer / early fall flagship. https://t.co/dDLeTYwKEf— Evan Blass (@evleaks) April 20, 2018
So if you're dying to get your hands on the V40, you will have to wait until the end of summer.
