Government Policy about Weekly Holiday; should it be changed !!! Critical Note

Its been years that Day of Weekly Holiday is changed / fixed from "Friday" to "Sunday" and those were the golden days when on Friday we used to get up with a sigh of relief and equally having religious obligation in our minds to get ready for Jumma Prayer.

Special arrangements like ironing Shalwar Qameez, Waistcoat, and polishing Peshawari Chappal then having bath for getting ready to offer jumma prayer, were carried out. Me accompanying my siblings, father & grandfather; together walk towards Mosque (Jamia Masjid) for the very purpose of Jumma Prayer.

Its was really a golden era of my life, and Friday Holiday being the beautiful holiday; i must say that the best Holiday as Friday's Holiday. However due to international practices and also because of suspension of business communication with rest of world and thus counterproductive day of weekly holiday was changed to "Sunday" and thereby hurting the hearts of Muslims in Pakistan. 

Beside the suggestion of making Friday as weekly holiday there are certain other suggestions by group of people as below:

• Implementation of Sector-wise / industry-wise weekly holiday i.e. for example Schools / Colleges / Universities can observe Friday as Weekly Holiday as they have nothing to do with international practices. And thus parents can also visit & have meeting on Sunday with teachers / professors.
• currently Tuesday & Wednesday is being observed as Holiday in Mutton / Beef Sector since long on this concept)
• Another group of people suggest working around 7 days a week with an open option (under pre-intimation) of having Holiday of his / her / their own choice in a particular week. (however this is bit difficult to manage but not impossible for seniors / supervisors)
• Further NADRA Mega Centersare working on same above pattern for ease of general public at large and even working 24 Hours a day (selected locations). Timings are given below. (source https://www.nadra.gov.pk)

• Heavy rush is also observed in recreational areas like PARKS and SHOPPING MALLS and roads on Saturday and Sunday due to these typical weekday holiday routine; causing traffic & security issues throughout the country. Probably it’s time to think out of the box, changing routines and mindsets.

If possible working 7 days a week (if possible) throughout the country can lead Our Country to next level of prosperity and success that we ever wish to be at where. Whatever the case maybe; serious debate should be carried out at Governmental Level and necessary legislation should be done in parliament in this regard as there’s always room for betterment and improvement.
